WE ARE OPENING ON APRIL 3rd, GOOD FRIDAY.

We are a free house in the village of Corston. Three miles  from junction 17 of the M4, three miles from the town of Malmesbury.

Our aim is to provide a cosy and welcoming atmosphere in a traditional pub setting.

The Radnor Arms occupies a central main road side position in the North Wiltshire village of Corston. The village sits beside the A429 which links the historic abbey town of Malmesbury to Junction 17 of the M4 motorway, both of which are approximately 3 miles distant. Corston is close to the southern edge of the Cotswolds and the village has many fine, stone built properties.

Corston is popular with commuters because of its close proximity to the M4 motorway which enables fast travel to Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Reading and London. Large towns in the area include Chippenham (approximately 5 miles distant) where there is a main line railway station and regular services to London Paddington.

The pub is within easy reach of Westonbirt Arboretum and the town of Tetbury. Tetbury is the second largest town in the Cotswolds and home to Highgrove House, the private residence of their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

The Radnor Arms is approximately 400 years old.

    • Here are the key historical details regarding its age and heritage:

    • Construction: The building is believed to date back to the early 17th century (circa 1620s).

    • Listing Status: It is a Grade II listed building, officially added to the heritage list in July 1987.

    • Architecture: The structure is built from local stone with a stone tile roof, characteristic of traditional Wiltshire village inns.

    • Naming History: While the building itself is 400 years old, it took the name "Radnor Arms" in the 1790s. It was named after the Bouverie family, the Earls of Radnor, who owned the local manor during the late 18th and 19th centuries.
